A bit of a stupid question (in regards to Dawnguardwerewolve

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 7:04 am

I know being a werewolf is traditional a one-shot deal in TES, but given the additions to werewolves (i.e. perks), would there be any way to re-transform to take advantage of the new perks? I only transformed once on my character during the Companions' questline, and cured myself later at the end of the questline because it didn't really seem too exciting (oddly enough, my "Days as a werewolf" counter has still been counting regardless, going on ~300 days). I realize most likely I'll have to create a new character to become a werewolf again, but it would be nice not to retrain an entirely new character from scratch just to be a werewolf :<

Umm I know for a fact unless you or a savvy freind of yours can mod your xbox you will not be playing as a werewolf on that specific character. Will you be able to when Dawnguard comes out? I have no idea, no clue.

Well they said that if you become a Vampire Lord and decided to turn back into a werewolf that it was possible, so I assume that might work for your character as well?

i believe the devs did confirm being able to return to lycanthropy if cured or if you became a vampire. I dont have the citation for it though, sorry.

It is true that you can resume being a werewolf after curing yourself of being a vampire lord, but I don't think it will be possible to become a werewolf again after curing yourself the vanilla way, however. Could be wrong, though, but it's just the feeling that I have. Hopefully they will allow you to become a werewolf again if you have cured yourself the current way.

Maybe they'll eventually add new ways of becoming a werewolf in future if Dawnguard doesn't do it since that is one of the big demands right now along with the ability to sneak as a werewolf, wild werewolves, and werebears. Lunar transformations are also requested by a lot of people as well, though I think that it should still be possible for more casual players to suppress the forced transformations if they are to be implemented, like limiting it to a certain form of the curse (non-Companions werewolves, for example) and having ways to prevent the lunar transformations such as the Ring of Hircine and/or a side quest to control the curse, etc.

Oh, yes, I almost forgot about first person perspective for werewolves as well in terms of hotly demanded features. And while this isn't necessarily a huge complaint by a lot of people, unique swimming animations for werewolves would be nice as well, since the current animation doesn't play so hot on them right now. Speaking of swimming animations, it would be nice if they fixed the backwards swimming animation for normal characters as well. This has been broken for me since 1.5! :stare:

Not to be harsh but you made your decision. live with it and make a new character. If you didn't giggle like a kid with candy as you rampaged through the silver hand and gobbled them up like pop tarts, i highly doubt the perk tree will change anything for you. Personaly i've a hard time NOT becoming a werewolf. It's just too much bloody fun!
