From what I've been hearing, the Vampire Lords magicks reserves are tied to your own. If that's the case then does that mean if I have more destruction or conjuration that those spells will be more powerful or have the same perks of I had invested in those skill trees.

Good question... I have invested exactly zero into any form of magic, skills, perks or magicka on my vampire thief/assassin.

So... yeah, I'm wondering about this too.

I was kind of assuming the vampire lord powers would be their own thing (seeing as they have their own perk tree no?) and not tied to any existing magic skills.

But if they cost magicka to use... I may have to rethink my approach.

Guess my virtually limitless supply of magicka is going to come in handy whilst I slaughter every last Dawnguard I find.

I think it said you will get a boost to everything by 50 but thats it.
So you might want to get some magicka.
But the good news is all the spells fall under the vamp lord tree, therefor no need to level any schools of magic if you so wish not too.

If this is the case then I'm glad I have role-playing a vampire mage for a while now! everything is falling into place for me. SOON I SHALL RULE SKYRIM!!!!!!!!!!

I just hope the blood magic spells are not as weak as destruction magic, maybe vampiric drain will be increased a bit as well.

Agreed. I felt vampiric drain was useless.
