Werewolf Sneak Perk Wild Werewolves

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 7:03 pm

I know I've posted before about how I like the idea of a werewolf getting a sneak perk that would allow it to go on all fours and sneak, but I wanted to go a little more into detail on that. From what I've seen, there is little that is new on the upcoming werewolf perk tree. It seems like it mostly enhances the abilities that the werewolf already has (increased health/stamina, feeding increases length of beast form, upgraded wolf summoning). I'm overjoyed at the enhanced abilities that werewolves are getting, don't get me wrong, but I think the experience would be richer if the werewolf could crouch and stalk. It would allow the player to feel more in control of his/her werewolf and it could also enhance the combat greatly. Sneak attack damage and sneak kill cams could also be added. You could call the perk "Stalk."

Also, wild werewolves would be an excellent enemy addition. They would be hard to outrun and be able to ragdoll the player. It's also good for RP'ing purposes. Any thoughts on either idea?

i think the fact that lycanthropy is limited in some respects, adds to the idea that it was a curse on the companions - though, you could RP to embrace it.
i like how it takes most of the subtlety away and your only option is to savage victims head on. makes it feel more 'real'

YES and YES!
I'm really hoping this new way of re-contracting lycanthropy in the DLC is actually wild werewolves and / or werebears. The sneak perk would be awesome!! I can sort of get the jump on my prey now, but if I was able to sneak I would be a total terror :drag:

Sneak would be a decent addition. I know the werewolves attack damage will get a power up, but I doubt it will be near enough to finish off any enemy at the higher levels, so sneak damage would be a viable option. The only problem I have with a sneak perk is that the werewolf has a limited time in its form, so you would have to close in on your opponent quickly while crouching.

Wild werewolves would be great, especially if they followed the same rules as the player character wolves. It would be hilarious to keep an attacking lycan at bay until he reverts to human form, and that fearsome attacker becomes a spindly guy in just his pants.

I thought there was a perk in the up coming perk tree that extended your transformations? I could be wrong. Even so I was able to eat 40 NPC's last night which equals out to be 20 minutes ( real time ) of being a werewolf, so extending the transformation isn't an issue ( for me anyway ). Being able to sneak would double the normal amount of kills that I get, and a lot of those kills are done while being a werewolf that has Muffle cast on me ( I'll cast muffle before changing ). So a sneak perk would be put to good use in my game

Bring on the stalking perk! Whats the point of being a beast if you can't stalk while you hunt!

Thats probably why we don't see any werewolves in the wild.

Anyone think werewolves should get a poisonous bite (I would say diseased bite but npc's won't really be effected by that) to go with a rabid wolf idea?edit: sorry off topic...
