So.. is this a bug?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 8:25 pm

I have read somewhere that the followers fixing level when you first met them is a bug and that they have to really level up as you do it aswell?
Because the only way to keep them pumping up is to use the wabbajack but that could make sense, that it is a bug.
What do you think?

I think they should level up as we do.

J'zargo levels up with you as well as the dark brotherhood I believe.

Mjoll is unkillable so she is a good choice as well.

But just use wabbajack on the rest if you need to so there are options available until or if they ever fix it.

They should also be given the ability to learn spell tomes, because I just can't figure out how to do it.

Lol I am a console owner :( ........ With nooooooooo offense, but bethesda could ask the help of some modders to fix some minor bugs like these. I think bethesda could do it of course they make this game, but if they are busy doing major things for the game, the modders may help then with these type of bugs.. just saying.

Another question about followers: Does J'zargo is the only follower that levels with you? I know he has no limitation in the maximum level but does he level up with you as well?

From http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:J

"J'zargo is the only follower who has no maximum level. He will continue to level with the player."

Apparently there was a bug with followers leveling, but I have seen someone say that it has been fixed in 1.6 so can anyone confirm?

You mean like a bug that let followers level with you? Don't know. It shouldn't be present.

Yea apparently they stay the same level as when you first encounter them, and don't level any further unless you do the trick the OP mentioned.

That will also restore your follower's original apparel, though.
