vampire burned face bug, how do i fix it?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 6:26 pm

So one of my characters who is a vampire has recantly gotten that bug in which the face looks burned. How do i fix it?

And before you say, "there is a mod for that" or "there is a patch for that", let me just say that i play on the xbox 360. So is there a way to fix it even if im playing on the xbox?

Even though this should be in the technical help forums, I'll bite.

Cure it, and re-gain vampirism.

Or load up a save while the PC is infected but hasn't contracted vampirism (aka clean face save) then you load up your main vampire one.

Details found at bottom of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vampirism

Nope it's a bug that covers your face with a dirt shader. Much like the ones you can choose at character creation.

ah the "dirty face" bug...theres no official fix but i've discovered that eyeliner and eyeshadow is the cause. I think any forehead and cheek coloring causes it as well.

i know it looks more evil and cool to give your character dark eye circles but keep all that clean if you plan on going vamp

I have heard that it can be fixed if you have your cured and then become a vampire again, the dirt face won't show. However i don't want to take the time in doing that, so i will probably just keep playing with the dirty face.

I wonder if bethesda knows about this bug, if they do, i hope it is fixed in a new update.

Would a character who already had a dirty face because of the character creation still be able to get this burned face bug?

its not dirt like that, its a shaded area that usually covers your nose and between your eyes, sometimes part of your forehead and cheeks too.

its a bug that happens when you go vamp and im almost positive the cause is eye liner, eye shadow and giving color to your cheeks and forehead.

i tested with the same guy with eyeliner and shadow and then without before going vamp and the guy without any color didn't get the dirty face vamp bug...i could've got lucky though but thats the best test i can do on xbox

I have this bug on my vampire, you would think this would have been fixed in 1.6 because of the vampire heavy dlc coming out..... Which I can't wait for. Edit: In the dlc coming out you can now change your face, if complection change is an option we might be able to fix it that way...maybe?
