Something new happened to me today..

First a courier came with a letter with a "inheritance" of 100 septims.. "What?" was my first reaction
Second a courier came with a letter from someone, in that letter i got a thanks for killing someone off ??

Anyone experienced this before?

Yeah I've had that, although I just got a letter saying that X character had died and had name me in their will.
Which was nice.

This happened to me, because Ysolda had died. As others have said, it's a really nice touch. Similar to the Hired Thugs when you steal from or murder someone.

I sacrificed Marcurio at the Shrine of Boethia. I didn't know I was in his will until I got the money... I felt so bad.

If you become freinds with someone you might end up in there last will and testimony. Giving you some cash if that person dies.

Yes. The game keeps track of whom you do favors for. They are in game "friends" even though I have lost track of whom my friends are. Anyway, if one of them dies, usually you have to kill them, then you get 100 gold inheritance.
