Khajiit in the city.

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:30 pm

When I first played Skyrim and met the khajiit caravans I thought "What? not allowed in any city?". And so I went until now when I thought of rolling a Khajiit and wanted to know more about it for role playing reasons. It's not the race khajiit that are not allowed in to the city, it's only the caravans! Unfortnunatly the caravans are about the only Khajiits in the world.

Can't Bethesda add som more Khajiits in a patch? Hire some happy-to-help fans to do some voice-acting? I understand that it won't be any in the city of Windhelm, but maybe some atleast in Solitude? And some to marry?

What is your opinion about this? Except the "[censored] ass bad of bethesda not to have more khajiits from the beginning", we have already heard that. It's more about the possibility/ability to add in some more khajiits, regular non-caravan khajiits. Not to many, still make it a "rare sight" with khajiit in cold harsh skyrim, but still.

it creates immersion if you ask me, Khajiit are such an alien species in Skyrim. one of the main problems i had with Oblivion was the multicultural society, it was hard to find Cyrodilic own unique culture when every kind of race belonged. it also creates a feeling of distance, Elsweyr being directly at the opposite part of the continent, it's simply realistic.

A few more Khajiit wouldn't hurt but there shouldn't be loads in such an alien environment as Skyrim.

The caravans aren't allowed into the cities because they are all basically thieves and they would steal riften empty and then sell their goods in Windhelm before they would rob that empty and start selling those goods in Riften again...

Normal Khajiit aren't present in Skyrim much because Elsweyr is part of the Aldmeri dominion, Skyrim is not a nation that lends itself to Khajiit in the first place and of course because Skyrim has very little to draw a Khajiit there in terms of opportunities. They would have more chances in a place like Cyrodiil, High Rock or Hammerfell all of which are more stable and have more great cities with lots of riches in there.

hmm actually there are more khajiits than just the caravans
remember the thalmor embassy the cook can be either a female argonian or a female khajiit, if it's a female khajiit she will persue u into the ratway in riften
also lets not forget there are bandit khajiits and pirate khajiits, i've seen them.

The one thing I was slightly surprised about was that there aren't more Khajiit in the Thieves Guild... I suppose not getting into the cities would be a problem, but they are meant to be sneaky in the TG...

Maybe not in the Cities. but I could see a Khajiit camp somewhere in the Wilderness. Not like the caravans, but just like a tiny little village that's out of the way.

And then random assassins and thieves, they are mostly Khajit or Argonians, it seems to me.

And then we have J'zargo, of course.

I think Cyrodiil is like a big melting pot, the Imperial City is like a big european or american city were different people and cultures live together. It's the home of the Imperials, maybe the richest people of tamriel, and they are also known for their trading skills. Cyrodiil is also at the center of Tamriel so it's easy to reach. This helps me accept it as it is. Am I wrong?

I think this makes it harder to play a beast race this time. It would be weird being the only one in town. I think there should be more.

It would be more comforteble if there was atleast one in for example Solitude, who is a imperial city and a "big" city. And in riften, only because of Thieves guild.

There are a few Khajiit inside cities. The one in Riften, one is a cook in the Thalmor embassy, and J'Zargo.....That's pretty much it.

i think tere also needs to be more npc argonians, i'm not saying a million new ones but 5 or six along with an roughly even number of khajiit, i find their characters the most interesting but they're rare :(

The argonians have atleast a possibility of marriage. A bunch in the windhelm dock area. And the soon to be couple in Riften.

I actually seen a khajit in ebony armor wandering about during the burning of king olaf. He had no dialog and only said hello though.
