Regarding dawnguard and the new lycanthropy perk trees.

Does anyone know if werewolves get some type of armor rating or normal damage resistance with the upcoming dlc?

Having to cast Ebonflesh or Dragonhide before changing is becoming a bit of a bother lately.

Kind regards,

Given the NDA, no one knows anything outside what was published in the media.

Might help? Looks like they don't have all the information for sure yet, but Totem of Ice Brothers could be something like that, and you also have the 100hp/stam increase.

True, but getting hit on higher levels is very expensive on the health department. I would really like to have some kind of damage resistance.

Totem of Ice Brothers is 99% likely to be an improvement to the summon wolves ability.

There are no armor rating perks so unless they make Werewolf armor rating scale off some other skill or have a base value higher than 0 you will still be dropping fast to physical damage without spells.

Yeah, especially since your wolf form becomes negligable after about level 25-30, beyond that your just turning into a mouse in the middle of a battlefield full of snakes and cats

Well the lack of armor has always been the hard part of being a werewolf (if you played the Morrowind expansion Bloodmoon, then you probably experienced the same thing then). One of the main things to remember is that you can heal yourself by feeding on your enemies (take note of "gorge" from the lycanthropy tree).

You don't need spells. Take the lord stone and use your brain. Sprint attack archers and mages, power attack warriors. Then, flourish them while they're down.

Think that werewolves need a general boost in power all-round, I should be able to rip through camps and caves, instead I have to run away haha

Perfectly put, if I must say so myself. Hopefully the lycanthropy tree's tricks will help boost that level...but I basically expect almost the same thing from the vampire lord form, unfortunately.

I was shocked to see that the Lycanthropy perk tree didn't feature any kind of armor rating perks for werewolves. They had damage output but no armor rating.

Think about a dog in a fight. They don't really fight like cats (bash each other around until one backs off), they try to hurt the other without getting hurt themselves. Play your werewolf the same way. Bob and weave.

Hmm. I'll keep that in mind.
