WTF? *Spoilers for Companions questine*

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 4:05 pm

So, I was doing jobs for the companions and after I turned in a quest to kill a sabre cat, I turned around and guess who was sitting behind me, nonchalantly sipping his mead? Skjor. Yes, the same Skjor that died earlier on. And he's still telling me thatI have to prove myself. :unsure2: By the way, this may sound stupid, but....how do I use spoiler tags?

For spoiler tags: [ spoiler ]insert your spoiler here[ /spoiler ]

except without the spaces between the brackets and their contents.

As for Skjor,
Spoiler
his resurrection and return is a well known feature of life in Jorrvaskr. I like to think he wasn't actually killed in that dungeon, just suffered a serious head injury that left him unconscious and more than a bit addled. His short term memory is also completely gone. Eventually he woke up in a chamber full of dead Silver Hand, looked around in confusion, shrugged, and wandered back to Whiterun to resume business as usual. None of the other Companions have the heart to tell him that Kodlak's dead and you're the new Harbinger so when he calls you "whelp" they just roll their eyes and play along.

Here was my first experience with zombie Skjor. I went back to Jorrvaskr and he was alive and well.

Just kill him again, works pretty well to fix this glitch.

More than a little freaky there. Yes the game frequently brings back random dead people. However it rarely brings back dead bad guys when they are called out in radiant quests...? Go figure.

That's a really good one. I tried to treat him like a ghost, but found it highly annoying when all the others treated him as if he still was alive. That character lived in Jorrvaskr for a while (this was before Peeping Lydia had her little "accident" at a giants' camp), but Dead Skjor made the place so weird that she even contemplated moving to Markarth. And I hate Markarth.
