Is a dagger considered 1 handed?

I've read stuff about one handed attack bonuses not benefiting daggers, I'm not sure if it's true or not.

It technically has always been a 1 handed weapon.

The one handed skill and perks affect it, but it doesn't benefit from the 'fortify one hand' enchantment or potion. It (along with every weapon) does benefit from a fortify marksman potion though.

"trying to" fits well. you don't need more than the one handed perks to one shot everything with db armor
