Can one be a werewolf and a vampire at the same time?

Just wondering. If not, which do you prefer?

you cannot be both

I like werewolves. It just seems like something a rigid nord would like. Maybe that's just the companions though

You can but I prefer just werewolves for now. The lack of regen in the daytime in beast form as a hybrid really blows.

Used to be a glitch where you had the body of a Vampire with the head of a werewolf but they fixed that..I think.

You didn't get both races abilities if I recall.

No. The entire concept of a vampire/werewolf hybrid is moronic. I prefer vampires and have been roleplaying as one in Skyrim months before Dawnguard was even announced.

Maybe it was fixed with 1.6 since everyone is saying no, but if you timed the vampire transformation with the drinking of the beast blood you became a hybrid. I know from experience because my main is a hybrid.

I contracted Sanguinare Vampiris, should I hurry up and become a lycan before I transform into a vampire, or after?

You have to drink the beast blood the second before you transform into a vampire. Save before just in case you mess up or don't like it, the disadvantages of both vampires and werewolves are present and really hurt each other. In beast form during the day you have no regen whatsoever, which means once you run out of stamina the fun is over as you can't run or power attack at all. Also for me, I'm not flagged as undead so no Necromage buffs.

For now I like being a werewolf, then we'll see. Off course I will do both quests, to experience the add-on at max.
