um, do you mean the terrain or the fact that the length leaves room for alot of miscellaneous things to occur.

Maybe he means both, long journeys are always fun. And I like the area around Markarth. However, my favorite hold is the Rift but that's off topic

Non-fast travel is always a treat, isn't it? It's amazing. The world occurrences, the terrain... Bethesda is amazing, none can deny.

I always love the little things you find along the way! :) Thanks, Bethesda.

the rift is one of the better places to explore in my opinion. Can get lost in it.

This.

I wish there were more dangerous things stalking the roads, especially at night. I want to hold a torch as I walk along paths in the night, afraid of what might pop up.

Is there a PC mod for dangerous outdoors?

There are a few that add more monsters... new monsters. There are some that add more travelers, more assassins. I use... SIM. It seems pretty good. Although not happy with the amount of thieves it adds. Seems every time I come into a town there is some thief running for his life with the whole town chasing after him. It's entertaining.. but bothersome when it happens too often.

I especially love when you reach a top or mountain pass and the view behind it opens up to you.

I like to walk around areas for awhile, recently I was patrolling the area south of the Throat of the World place, and it's pretty neat. In Fallout 3 I used to travel along the potomac river just to kill time.

I always walk. I don't fast travel and I don't use a horse. I Just love the scenery.

Walking rocks, especially when you just end up straying somewhere off topic, so to speak.

Try walking from Riften to Solitude. =|
Honestly, though, almost anywhere in Skyrim is an entertaining journey. I love the Rift and the Reach, but Falkreath is the absolute favourite -- the forests feel so much bigger than they are, it can be easy to get lost, and there's always something to do.
