OK so Whenever I play skyrim It makes the xbox's fan super loud and puts out a lot of hot air. This does not happen to any of my other games just this one. I have the game installed also. So is this normal or what? Like I said only happens with this game.


Oh I'm playing on a xbox 360 slim.

Mine is virtually silent. I have the Star Wars model, a few weeks old.

I have this problem with skyrim and gears of war 3. Although both games are installed, the console uses DVD for the first few minutes and it's loud as hell. (nonslim xbox)

My gf has slim and it's silent most of the time but when she starts gow3 it gets loud. I'm pretty sure if she played skyrim it would be the same. My friend has the same, i doubt it's your fault

Geez I'm pretty sure I have the arcade version of the xbox, I did trade it in a couple times because red rings of death so I'm not sure if they upgraded my console to a newer version(most likely they did). Anyways my console is ALWAYS loud.....no matter what game I play. I never install games on my hard drive... I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just make sure its in an area where its getting good air flow.

My xbox probably gets played 8+hours a day(me and my dad both use it), it does some funky things like when I turn it off, it doesn't completely shut down for 1-3 minutes. But its still going......I've learned to ignore the sound it produces, my computer sounds like an airplane when I play any intense graphic games so I'm used to it. lol

Like I said as long as its in a spot we good air flow, the sound doesn't mean anything.
