What in the name of all that's holy is going on?

I just popped in here to find out when Bethesda will pull their heads out of their asses and i find out that there is DLC coming???? HEY BETHESDA!!!!!! HOW ABOUT MAKING THE CURRENT GAME WORK FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't get a housecarl in Riften, can't buy the house in Marcarth, can't finish the Companions quest because some (seemingly irrelevant) [censored] is already dead, can't finish the quest from Brunwulf 'cause Linwe is dead............

....i kill dragons that don't burst into flames and give me their souls........water doesn't render for crap...seems to be worse around Solitude......

....plenty more that i can't remember right now.....but this latest quest killer is the proverbial straw.....

DLC???? REALLY?????? i already paid for ONE pile of steaming poo, why add to it??????

I'm going to do what another person did.......I'm selling this crap for whatever I can get out of it. F _ O BETHESDA!!!!!!!!!!!! :swear:

Indeed, though you shouldn't blame Bethesda, blame Zenimax for making them get the steaming pile of poo out before it was ready.

Hey bro, calm down, just take this as a game, indeed, this is just that, a game, it is not your real life nor the only game in the world. I really like this game: Max Payne 3, it is a blast and I am not here doing advertising of any game I am just saying that you could play other games until this one is fixed, and yes this will be fixed more or less in 1 year sadly but it is a truth: this game will be fixed and not just that it will be improved just gave bethesda more time and play other games until that happens, and relax.

PS: don't sell the game because later you can repent, just reserve it a time.

I can get behind the suggestion of playing Fallout New Vegas, it is the only Bethesda published RPG (Bethesda didn't make FNV, it was licensed out to the excellent Obsidian Entertainment) that can rightly excuse its technical failings by pointing at its depth and scale. It was nothing less than a travesty that Bethesda forced New Vegas to release six months before it was ready, imagine what that game could have been if it had been allowed a proper round of bugfixing and polish before release.

Fallout 3, not so much. The coding of the PS3 version is shocking, not quite as bad as Skyrim mind, but pretty bad and Bethesda showed absolutely no interest in ever fixing any of it's issues, personally I'd say avoid Fallout 3 unless you really really want to play it, it's just too unstable to be enjoyable.

Sorry, but Fallout New Vegas is unplayable, once you reach a certain save size, the game is unplayable because of the lag :P

Let me guess you don’t play theses games on a PS3. If you did you would know that Fallout 3, NV and Skyrim have a lot of the same dam problems.
Wait in tell Skyrim is fixed don’t make me laugh. Fallout 3 PS3 still broken to this very day. NV PS3 still broken to this very day. Skyrim broken still to this very day. They are all Bethesda Games and they all are FUBAR on the PS3.
they make mistakes it happens= if it happened once it’s a Mistake, but when it’s the same mistakes over and over again that makes it a habit.

oh yeah and dont forget,360 exclusive for dawnguard, and most likely all future dlcs (including maybe the next dlc called hearthfire) will be 360 exclusive. Thanks Bethesda for taking Microsofts money and get the game 1 month early. What pisses me off about these things is that 360 users will be done with the dlc before we even get it.Oh and yes, there are alot of bugs still in Skyrim.Dont expect them to get fixed cause they wont now.I still got a bad lvl 81 glitch where pickpocket success goes down instead of up.Ruins pickpocket in the game for me.Bethesda wont ever fix that that...

Man I'd love to play Fallout 3, but I bought the GOTY version and I can't get past the GOAT exams. It just stops responding and doesn't progress any further. First dang quest is broken. Broken POS game!

Mistakes do get made; like myself believing that the blatant lie that company gave enough of a [censored] to make a new game engine for this game as was published before it was released... They didn't. That is not a mistake, that is false advertising.

This whole situation is ridiculous......I look back at launch day and never imagined any of this happening. Oh and yeah that whole xbox getting the dlc before is complete b.s. I hate it Microsoft just takes the money that their subscribers pay monthly or yearly and they use some of it to pay off companies so that they can get the dlc before the ps3 does but wow a whole month?

yes and we have the advertising standards bureau or whatever, but they count on no one bothering....only when 50 000 people complain and it makes news (gaming) then they do something. albeit little in the case of the ps3 version....

they work fine for me all i did was time it after playing for two hours i stop and do something else it's simple and they really don't have the same problem F3 is fixed as for FNV well don't play with it for SO FREAKING LONG! and for Skyrim after they produce bug glitchy ridden games it's predictable

Eh, F3 was bearable for about the main quest + 1.5 DLC, then the lag came to stay. F:NV loved to give me a surprise freeze at any point in time between the first few minutes of play to playing for a few hours. NV also had areas that lagged and crashed like mad at all times, and the end game was a lag-and-freeze fest. Neither game is what I would call 'fixed' - GOTY F3 is palatable, if you don't plan on doing everything, and F:NV was outright abandoned after no more monies were to be made from DLC. Which I was savvy enough not to buy, by the way - it was the killing blow on the PS3 version.

Comparatively, Skyrim is playing more or less well for me, with only 4 hard reset freezes and 2-3 non game-breaking bugs in about 70h... (haha, strange times when I consider that a well playing game) but there's no way I'll be buying any DLC - if it even comes to the PS3 - after the F:NV fiasco. Perhaps once GOTY is released I'll wait to hear if it's playable and get it then, but then again it's quite possible I'll have moved on by that time.

What really gets me is that there's over 100 *ahem* non-critical quest bugs etc. still present in the game, yet PC modders were able to fix all of them inside of a fortnight. The fact that Bethesda haven't applied these fixes to the official build is totally insulting.

Top that off with the actual gamebreakers (thankfully I've only hit 2 of these) and I can't even consider it a 'finished product'.

Fallout and NV may have crashed on me.... lots.... and I can't finish all of the NV DLC because the framerate is unbearable... but at least the questlines generally work. Every time I play Skyrim I have to dodge certain quests completely, avoid all radiant quests, not pick certain items up, not recruit companions etc. etc. otherwise it all goes to hell.

The fact that the core game data has been left in such a state for over 7 months is pathetic. Bethesda can stick their DLC, if they think they're ever going to see my money again they can think again. Todd Howard has sold me a game based on lies for the last time.
