BEST LOOT EVER? dragonbone armor found in a chest!

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:24 pm

Oh my god..this just happened to me, i swear i've never seen this before...
i just found a legit dragonbone armor chestpiece inside a master lock chest in Cracked Tusk keep which is a bandit fort with mostly hunter orcs located just west of falksreath.
the chest contained an amazing dragonbone armor ( not enchanted of course ) and a glass battleaxe of immobilizing!
worth my 8 wasted lockpicks? u better believe it was!
for you who are perhaps curious to see if you get the same loot, here's where this illusive chest is located at
first of all if has the looks of a big treasure chest, usually like the ones found in bandit chief rooms, but this one was not inside the keep, it was located on the open wild, inside a ruined pillar just behind a smithing area and a small cabin with a book that increases ur light armor skill and there's also a tamming rack for you to transform pelts into leather located next to it aswell..
worth to check it out, although im not so sure if the loot found in this chest is random or not.

I once got Daedric Sword (I think) from the chest at the end of the place you get the Horn of Jorgen Windcaller.

It happens, I've found Dragonbone shields gauntlets boots and what not in my higher level chars. Never found the armor (I think) but I'm sure it spawns as well.

BTW: Sabertoothtigerz, it doesn't matter where you found it, the armor is spawned at random based on level. Not on location.

oh i understand but still this is a major master lock chest with 6 to 5 items in it, even if u dont get the same amount of goods that i did, u may find something else of the same value sort of.

At higher levels you do occasionally find dragonbone pieces in random loot.

I've found Dragonbone boots in a chest once (Hag's End) I was around level 40-45. Pointless since I'm not particularly bothered about wearing it.

Post a picture

if i do it has to be a crappy quality webcam picture, and if i do i will have to show u more than just 1 picture
one of them if the dragonbone armor in my possesion
the second one is my smithing perk only at level 68 without dragon bone perk activated
i may do that now. but i will need to upload them to photobucket etc and i dont even have a photobucket account, so if u all want a picture its gonna demand alot from me.

I think I found a dragonbone or dragonscale helmet once, I was like almost level 50 though. Can't remember as I just sold it like any other loot.

All the people calling you a liar are idiots, it's not impossible. I've found more than a few dragonbone/scale items at higher levels.
With all three of my high level characters. I don't really care though, because the dragonbone shield is like the only dragon-smithed item I don't hate.

Almost everything is available as random loot (including Dragonplate, Dragonscale and Daedric with Daedric being 20x less likely than everything else once the appropriate level is hit).

If you have the Treasure Hunter perk, then loot like this stops being so ultra rare. I've found Dragonbone and Dragonskale armor pieces in the past, but none of them weren't already enchanted with some stupid stuff.

I found a dragonscale armor in a chest at a Forsworn camp when my light armor character was lvl 37 or 38. Best loot I ever found, I thought.

Then I decided I liked the Nightingale armor better, anyway. :|

I got 9 daedric arrows. Then, I galloped as quick as I could to Whiterun to share one of them with the guards in Dragonsreach porch.

9 turned into 300 within a few game days.

LOL.

As for me, dragonbone armor would be nothing more than an item I doubt any store could buy. It's heavy armor and it wouldn't look good against my complexion of stealth.

I've gotten dragon bone boots from a chest before. heavy armor with +50 to carry weight.

I do believe you have to be above lv 35-40 for this kind of stuff to appear. I only recall getting it on higher lv characters.
