That's a Dragon?

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 11:12 am

So in Dawnguard dragons can go underwater. That's pretty cool, but what about making new species of dragons? I'm basically making this up as I go along and I'm not sure if this in any way would go against the lore but the idea of new species of dragons crossed my mind. A type of dragon that can't fly but moves extremely fast on land, or a dragon that can actually breath underwater and has fins, or a type of dragon that walks like a T-Rex and is on two legs that is extremely OP when it comes to physical attacks. Is this idea completely insane and stupid or some what creative? What kind of dragon or dragon feature would you like to see in the game?

It's in the trailer? Should the trailer use a spoiler sign?

And idk new dragons sounds kinda weird... But it could be fun, and I don't see why it would go against the lore.

To clarify I was talking about the T-rex.
The problem with the other ones are that there is no water combat and it would be extremely difficult to script a water only dragon, and for the land dragon there aren't many truly open areas for a dragon to run on, so you would have to give up size and make the dragon look stupid

I think it would make for a kool new enemy , really doesnt have to be a dragon at all, but some sort of dinosaur creature would be cool

That's the idea I'm getting at. Don't you believe with everything aside you could make the land dragon look cool in some way? Smaller, sleeker, and scarier in some way?

The art would be fun to do, but Bethesda would have some trouble in the lore part of explaining why one dragon walks and the others can fly, I geuss they could use evolution, but that might make the 9 divines angry :P

Why does your signature move left and right when I scroll the page?

Wow apparently many people on this forum now have living signatures. Weird....

Did you watch the trailer? A Dragon does a dive through ice and into water, little more is known other than that.

I like to think that it was the Volikhar using their "reaching up through the ice" power to drag one under :P
