Skyrim Mouse Lag Fix

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 5:24 am

Hi so the lag in my mouse is really ruining my game it seems to lag in menus and game. I have a decent fps playing with a gtx 570 on high so i dont think its to do with performance, Is there anyway of fixing this. Also does changing files stop me from getting Steam Achievements?
Thanks (Sorry if i did anything wrong im new)

You're playing the game on too high settings. Lowering them and removing mods that add hd textures and fancy stuff should help.

This is a well known issue. Disabling V-Synch in Skyrim.ini (iPresentInterval=0) can alleviate this issue at the cost of some screen tearing. I enable adaptive v-synch in nvidia control panel.. but I'm not sure if this helps much i still see a lot of tearing. Also, changing files shouldn't block any achievements.

Edit: Never mind about the adaptive v-synch.. An FPS limiter should do better.

Would emailing Bethesda maybe make them think about patching this ? Because Fallout plays fine and I can play all the same settings. Does anyone have their email

The fact that you can play Fallout on high settings doesn't mean that you can also play Skyrim on the same settings.

Fps limiters work great but they create huge input lag.

Shoot an arrow and it literally takes a full second to fire.

You should post a dxdiag in spoiler tags so that people can make an idea. Did you also reduce your screen resolution?
