Anyone else a horrible horse owner?

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 11:02 am

I keep getting my horse killed.

Whether it dives head first into battle or fall too far off a cliff.

I just can't seem to keep a horse longer than a couple of days.

All of my horses are antisocial emo's, they keep walking off and trying to get eaten by a Sabretooth Tiger.

Couple of days? Horses have a 4 hour lifespan tops, 2 if they give my position away.

"Cook it, smother it in onions"

"How would you like it?"

"Blue"

I'm just awful with companions in general. I got my horse killed four times before I finally just gave up and let him stay dead, I've taken two dogs under my wing and they've both died at the hands (or claws) of the very next enemy I ran into, I friendly-fire my human followers so much I'm surprised they don't snap and stab me in my sleep... yeah.

All my horses are dead.
I've owned three, all black stallions. They died via dragon, Forsworn, dragon, respectively.

In non-Skyrim real life, my childhood dog just passed away (lots of tears). Needless to say, it warmed my heart when I adopted Vigilence.
For a good two days, Viggy and I had some amazing journeys. We went hardcoe with no fast travel, literally walking from coast to coast (highly, highly recommended btw).

Sadly, Vigilence' life came to an end last night. A heavily armored orc dealt the final blow via warhammer. In my emotional and elemental fury, I went f****** ape[censored] on the orc. Death wasn't enough. I took his ugly corpse and draqed it over the fire, then lay Vigilence on a bed. So long, friend.

Haven't had any horse die on me yet. But I lost one, and have no idea what happened to it. It was Frost.

Horses in Skyrim have a life expectancy of 12 seconds. Why? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Im5IpE2rleo is why

I'm a horse murderer. I got sick of how [censored] horses are in this game so I killed mine out of frustration. :brokencomputer:

Meh, there is no such thing as a *bad horse owner*, there is only a bad horse!

Real Men Quote themselves.

I thought "Man! That's awesome. I should quote myself!"

Then I Looked at my sig....

Blond.

On topic: So far, I have bought two horses...

I was riding between Windhelm and Whiterun on my way to some location in the Stormcloak questline, when I saw a waterfall, rode my horse over to it, got off, killed the horse and dunked it in the river...

Then a bit later I rode up to the top of High Hrothgar to go and talk to the Treebeards about what to do next with my second horse. (I bought that one because I thought it was a good idea at the time, but also because I wanted to make one trip south from windhelm pretty fast). Anyway. I spent an exciting 5 minutes trying to get it to fall off high hrothgar with Fus Roh Dahs proving ineffective. Then I just maneuvered it to walk off the cliff.

Horses are so bad for me, that when I saw a certain npc's dead horse in an area, I instinctively thought it was mine.

I keep losing my horses. I'll get to my destination and get off. Do what i need to do, move on and totally forget about the horse.

The only time I remember is when I'm thinking "I could really use a horse right now..."

I think horses are one of the worst features on Skyrim. They look hideous and try and get into every fight you have. Who ever came up with that idea shouldn't be allowed to come up with ideas for multi million pound companies.

I now walk every where.

I just steal the horses I want to ride, after buying several horses I just stopped. They ended up being thousand gold pieces of leather.

I don't have scientific data yet, but I have reason to believe that horses attract bears. And dragons.
