Large objects disappear ingame

I know there's a thread for this somewhere already, but I couldn't find it.

Some of the larger objects I place in the editor (they show up just fine there) disappear in-game. They're just gone.
Is there a workaround for this? And what can I do to avoid this.

It's completely worthless trying to create a huge cave if half the rock pillars are gone in-game.

Did you used rooms and portal ? If a piece is out of the room you are in, this piece will not be rendered ingame.

Nope, not using rooms or portals. I've read somewhere else that this is a bug that can happen to very large statics.
I'm guessing that is what I am experiencing. I just wondered if there is a workaround or just some good advice on how to avoid it.

i think this is the same problem i'm having. So did you make your own mesh? for static building or ship? Does some of it appear or completely doesn't? I made my own mesh for a ship it appears fine in Creation Kit but not in-game. Entire ship does not appear

Nope, it happens to vanilla meshes. It has happened in two places. One of them is where I placed a huge scaled up rock pillar, and the second time it was a scaled up boat. Both of these large objects appear in the CK, but not in-game.

It sounds like the floating weapon bug. Have you looked around the area its supposed to be in for floating weapons?

Large statics will disappear in game, despite being visible in the CK. Checking the "Full LOD" box will solve this, but is not a viable solution, as it will cause severe slowdowns.

While checking the 'Full LOD' box may not be a good idea in exteriors I guess it would be safe to use in interiors. Not sure whether it even works in interiors though.

Not heard of the bug effecting interiors, only large objects in exterior. Dirty save game maybe.

In which way? My character has never visited the interior before.
Can the save game be broken in any other way, which leads to large objects disappearing in two different interiors, none of which the character has visited before in the savegame I use? :/

Has anyone tried converting their plugins from .esp to .esm? This fixed the face tint problem with new characters... game seems to handle masters quite differently then plugins. I'm going to try it right away.
