Anyone tried this and been fine? Been wanting to make a thief like that with no spells shield or bows but single handed fighting.

If youre also relying on sneaking and archery then it should workout well. Even if you wore some enemies down with sneak archery shots then finished them with a sword or whatever. Also you can use daggers for stealth attacks. I wouldnt recommend rushing a bandit chief though without making use of sneak/archery first

It's the only logical way to play a dagger-wielding thief.

That is my primary character. Works great but block levels slowly, so you might want to enhance with some training. Blocking and bashes both work but nether is as effective as a real shield. I am still playing with the idea of modding in a blocking dagger.

Dual Weilding is powerful. A blade in each hand for the tough combat parts is very fine.

That's my character dude!!

single handed sword no shield (Because it heavy), no spell (Because i'm Nord)

For the first time, i always using shield, but, after all, the 1 sword still can block too...

so... i love 1 single sword.

Why i dont use 2 handed? simple... heavy

If you use a shield to level block up a bit then just using a single sword is absolutely fine.

yes

i play some kind of noble imperial. i play with 1hand sword and heavy armor on expert. i have to say, sometimes i get serious problems.. i remember having a hard time fighting bandit chiefs in lower lvls. they made more dmg with their enchantments and could block way better with their shields... but it does work. i use it together with little sneaking(since heavy armor only a little) and a bow, to reduce the amount of targets before an open fight starts. i also use enchanting, because i will need to get magic resistance soon.
