Enemy Survivability

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 2:32 am

I'm looking for a mod that grants enemies more health or give them more armor.

Not interested in mods that add new types of enemies or only make them hit harder.

Any enemies in particular?

I know that http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3829 will allow you to modify the health/armor of humanoids, monsters and dragons but I do not know the limitations of that.

You may also be able to use http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18474 to decrease the damage that you do to enemies therefore allowing them to survive for longer.

All enemies.

BYOG looks nice but I would like something simplier.

Have you tried turning up the difficulty and/or not abusing smithing/enchanting/alchemy/sneak attacks?

Otherwise.. just use an iron sword and call it a day. I'd highly recommend BYOG, too.

Well my biggest mistake and I regret it... was Blacksmithing. However I do not want to start all over again. I chose this path so why should I be punished for it?
I would like a mod that gives enemies 2/3x more health and/or decrease my own damage.

I'm not even using magical weapons... in a fantasy game  .

Oh and I am playing on Master.

Maybe try some of the combat mods? It's not ideal, but I know there are some out there that decrease weapon damage and the like.

Why not grab a non-upgraded weapon?... No need to start over. Just get a new weapon and don't upgrade it. No punishment needed.

I leveled up my BS, wasted a lot of Perks and now, I would not even use those. I made my PC progress, get stronger only to be awarded with a big slap in the face.

I do understand that a bandit should not survive as long as a Draugr Deathlord but one-shooting almost everything gets annoying...

Yes, but a fix would be properly reworking smithing and enchanting, not just giving enemies and others higher health so the ONLY option is to use smithing/enchanting.

As said, BYOG will let you balance those values. Look for a rework of the smithing and enchanting trees, however, instead. The closest mod to what you want that I can think of would likely be my http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4406 mod.

I did try it. Problem is, the enemies started to hit me harder but still died as fast as always.

I tought about installing PISE or ASIS though.

Won't really fix the problem, though ASIS will mean more enemies hitting you, so even dropping them each in a shot, if they hit hard enough it's a matter of who hits first.
