Altering the Time of Day...also bears.

Hello!

I'm looking for some help adjusting the time of day ONLY in my specific cave. I want it to be night at ALL times that the player is in this cave/worldspace. I also want it to look nearly pitch black in the caves, which is ideally much darker than the default night setting, but I want the stars to remain in the sky circling overhead. Finally, I'd like normal time to resume when the player exits the cave, right back where it was. To sum it up, very very dark cave, night sky overhead, never switches to day.

I've added a custom climate and works, somewhat, I can get it mostly night but I still have about 10 mins of daylight crammed in there and its a tad too bright, even at night, for my tastes.

Finally, I want the bears in said cave to be awake always. So whatever solution I end up using needs to make their packages believe that its night at all times. Otherwise, I'm going to need to dive into the packages, which is admittedly a bit over my head at the moment, and keep them awake.

Thanks so much for your help!

if you dont care about real-time being updated (i.e. your world will be pitch dark night time even though the game time shows 12 noon), you can create a full pitch black "exterior" by adding a custom weather system to your climate and have that weather chanced at 100%

on your weather object you set all light values to black for all 4 categories (sunrise, sunset, day, night), or however dark you want it to be.

additionally create a custom imagespace that kills all ambient light (set to 0 on all RGB values for pitch black)

Set the global variable timescale to 0 while in this cave and set the time of day global variable to night. Undo these things when they leave?

Amethyst, that's exactly what I was looking for, wasn't even aware you could edit the "weather" portion of a climate independently. I think that'll work great. Really really appreciate it.

i dont suggest setting timescale to 0. that variable is used in math functions on a werewolf transform script and it will cause a divide by 0 error
