Dawnguard add new towns, cities, and villages to Skyrim?

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 1:37 pm

Skyrim is my first TES game and I love it so far and can't wait for the new DLC but have some questions.

Does Dawnguard and future DLC add more towns, cities, and villages?

I haven't married in the game yet, I haven't found a girl I really like yet. Does the DLC add new women and more NPC's to the world?

It's possible it adds more marriage options. Nothing has been said on that topic. It adds two new Castles complete with new Npcs and living quarters. It adds supposedly two new locations as well, one being the soul cairn and the other being Talos knows what. Don't thank me. Thank Google.

The expansion packs will definitely add more content to the game.

As others have said, it will add two new castles, spells, weapons, horses, locations etc...
Usually every expansion packs feature these.

Yep, I think it's called Dreamspring Canyon and is the Dawnguard Fort place, looks marvelous

I hope it adds more spells beyond blood magic because I think you have to be in Vamp Lord form to use the blood magic.

It at least adds two castles to the game. New provinces? Other than the Soul Cairn, (which seems like just a really cool dungeon as opposed to an explorable area) I don't think we will see any more areas.

I think it's called Dayspring Canyon. The vampire castle is located northwest of Solitude which that new location is Soul Cairn (a new plane). Dayspring Canyon, to me (judging by the trees), looks like it is located somewhere near The Rift Hold (a previously unaccessible location).

OP:
Nobody really knows much more then a few things about Dawnguard. We are all kind of in the dark about this. It will add new creatures, higher level dragons (legendary), 2 new locations as well as 2 new forts to have (own?), new questline, new side quests, new dungeons (one having nothing to do with Dawnguard), new weapons, new armor, new perks (and perk trees). That's just what we know, who knows what else lays in wait come this Tuesday! As for future DLCs, if history repeats, we should get an expansion that resembles Bloodmoon (Morrowind) and The Shivering Isles (Oblivion), which were their own island filled with new towns/cities, quests, creatures and landmass. This is just the beginning of the DLC and won't be the last. They'll end up saving their best for last.

It's always possible. It's confirmed they will add the soul cairn, a classified new area to explore, and new dungeons and locations for the quests.

Blood magic?

You mean absorb health?

Soul Cairn is not actually a new plane. it was featured in battlespire (1997) check it out on yourtube its kinda neat to watch the old version of it knowing we are going to be exploring the same realm but 2012 style hehe

Blood magic is sorta like nercomancy except it involes using your own blood for spells and rituals.
