Bard's College.

Am I the only one who feels they should have like a mini DLC on the bards college? I mean you really just get one good quest for it the rest is crap and you don't get a whole lot out from it they should make it so you can play the lute/flute/drums and other stuff at least.

Man it's like that for all the guilds. They are crap overall. They should do a DLC revamping ALL the guilds. There is no sense of accomplishment in any. And the Thieves Guild it's the worst. After doing all those quests, really really boring ones i might add, they only give you a black leather armour. I hope they fix it in upcoming dlc's :(

The bard's college was a bugged unfinished joke. If they make me pay for it to be fixed I'll honestly never buy it even though I'd want to.

If they revamped all guilds it would be like a 6 gig DLC.

The Bard's college has potential to be better. I wish it was.

It should have been better in the main game. I certainly don't want to see them put effort into a DLC for it. I'd rather have something more interesting. It is a shame it was so poorly done though.

I disagree that all the guilds were bad. Some were pretty good but they all could have used more content.

Yeah, I was kinda wishing they taught you to play those intruments and let you sing at inns and stuff.

Seems like a space filler for Solitude. Playing the instruments for magic effect like calm could have been fun.

Other then speech perk increases, the bard's college is a waste of time. The quest to become a member, finding the verse and fighting ol One Eye... while fun was way to short. I guess in reality, someone wanting to sing or strum an instrument probably doesn't want to go into battle haha.

But there should have been a power perk, like you get from Companions or Dark Brotherhood. Activating that power calms (or angers) those around you through music or song.

Ah well.

And are the quests after the main BC quest still bugged? I know my last play through, still have the lute, flute and drum stuck in my inventory.

Well in fantasy stories, especially TES, bards are often well known adventurers. The idea is that a bard wants to LIVE the life of his songs and stories, he or she wants to live in that romantic fairy tale world of their own tales, so they go out and on crazy misadventurs which they use as inspiration for more songs and stories. Warriors want glory, thieves want money, mages want knowledge, and bards are in it for the story. It would have been amazing to FEEL like one of Tamriel's bards, charming and golden-voiced, but deadly with a blade and always looking for trouble. Alas, it was a missed opportunity that cant be fixed.
