Help.....master difficulty Mage build

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 11:32 am

Ok so I just built a Breton Mage, currently about lvl 10. I've put 3 or 4 perks into reducing the novice cost of spells. And I have figured that this has been a complete waste of time because I will eventually be able to reduce the costs of schools of magic through enchantment, to 0. So I have a few questions.

I wanted to go Breton atronauch stone and perks. And basically absorb all magic damage and reduce physical damage with wards, Mage Armour, etc. I also wanted to go all 5 schools plus enchanting. Which requires less than 81 perks, but pretty close to it. High 60s or low 70s.

If someone could explain the glitch with conjuration and the atronauch stone that would be nice. The way I understand it, if I have 100% magic resist I can't summon things?

Also the biggest problem I have noticed going master Breton with atronauch stone, is that I just can't compete in battles due to my low magic (thus me taking magic cost reduction perks, and realizing my waste). Would my plan of trying a magic absorb character work with a high elf? I would benefit from raised magic at the beginning, and could take the apprentice stone early game to supplement even more. Any suggestions?

I have never done enchant before. at level 100 fully perked out enchant, what is the max magic reduction for a single school, that can be put on a single item? Using no other enhancements for enchant.

Lastly, because I'm trying all magic schools plus enchant I seem to spread my perks very thin. Would it be more beneficial early game for me to focus on two schools, say.... Illusion and conjuration. And then focus on other schools when I have become more viable to hold my own in the world of skyrim.

Any help, thoughts, strategies would be appreciated
