Looking for someone who is an expert with Skyrim

I chose the wrong side on the war. I chose the Stormcloaks and I wanted to choose the Imperials instead.
I went ahead and destroyed Whiterun and I didn't want to do that and when I tried to load it back to when I didn't join the Stormcloaks I had already gone to far in the game so I couldn't.

Is there anyway for me to go back before I took the oath on being a Stormcloak?

If you're on console, nope. Not unless you restart the entire save. Sorry, bro.

No. There is one chance after joining a side to defect to the other, and you have passed it.

No. The latest in the civil war quest line you can switch sides is when you

Spoiler
Have to hand in the Jagged Crown to your respective leader. You're able to instead go to the opposing faction and give it to that leader to switch sides.

Also, this is in the wrong section. At least use [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ] tags, please.

You'd have to either have a save from before you took the oath or before you delivered the Jagged Crown to Ulfric. Once you deliver the Jagged Crown, you've permanently joined a side.

You're too far in, you could have turned back after the jagged crown quest, but not now.

You should be happy to free skyrim of the imperials, accepting thalmor rule, letting the thalmor slaughter innocent worshippers of the man/god who founded the current empire?! They're weak and a shadow of their former power, the best thing for skyrim is independence.

Why don't you start a new different character that joins the Imperials and run them simultaneously, and see where it gets you?
Or just do other things besides the civil war with this guy....
