Who thinks Bethesda should add a cancel quest button to the

i hear many complain that their quests glitch and/ or does not trigger correctly.
I for once think bethesda should add a cancel quest button to the game and maybe--- just maybe many problems would be avoided. if your quest glitched then cancel the quest and start over.

What is your opinion on this?

Each quest is set up differently, there's no easy way for them to implement a 'reset all' feature that puts all NPCs, objects and everything back to where it was at the start of the quest. Sure it would be nice but I don't think it's possible.

i hear that in PC every quest has a code, and you can advance quest stages using console, now if every quest has a code then all you need is the right script. maybe bethesda can come up with a script to cancel a quest instead on a command to advance a quest to the next stage (PC) Now that is my belief it can be totally different than that,, but i would love to see that feature coming to consoles.

Yeah but what happens right......., if for instance you reset all the quests while you are in......... say Breezehome. Would you be able to get back out since the key is required to open it from the outside? And what about loot? Would unique weapons you have "vanish" and respawn back at the initial locations?

Basically there are far far to many variables in the game to reset quests. Once they are active, you either finish it or dont bother.

Been playing Skyrim since launch with this one character I'm quite fond of and poured many hours into. Apparently because I encountered numerous glitches and bugs along the way that later got patched but still screwed over my character. Starting a new character from that patch yields no problems but my original is plagued by quest items that won't be taken away from my inventory. Like I can't give R'jorms drum or Finn's Lute to the quest giver because I don't have it listed in my misc quest. Started a new character but suffers from stuck Talos amulet and Strange amulet if you weren't familiar with what should be done first.

well reseting quest wouldn't take away keys to house of course and regarding unique loot, well that would stay and dungeons would stay the way they were, dungeons you visited as part of quests would stay as they were after you visited them, with the exception of important characters that are necessary for quest progression.

How would that work if you have halfway progressed through it and reset it without removing the items dont you think that it will make things worse trying to restart it?

like i said it would only remove items from quest, loot can be kept and not altered when quest is reset and dungeons would remain as you left them

For example bethesda would classified lootable items as "Class="quest"" and in the script would make it, so quest lootable items be removed and reset.

Seen how certain lootable items only appear after you initiated the quest, they would be reinstated after you start the quest again.

I am not asking for them to reset quest but cancel them and then you would be able to go where you got the quest and begin it again.
