Hey there my fellow Dovahkiin and Dovahkiinettes. Now, as a lot of us know Urag loves his books, and he's also too lazy to gather the ones he needs himself so he sends us, his faithful slaves- I mean....well wait, yeah, sounds about right. Anyways, the thing is, long before I even accepted his quest to find one of said books, for me it was Arcana Restored, I stumbled upon the book he wants in a chest near Giants since......Giants love literature, I guess? Okay, enough getting distracted.

I was wondering if anyone else is having the problem or if they had it in the past. If you somehow found a way to get Urag to accept a book you found before he asks, PLEASE let me know. If not, well, that's cool I guess. I can only hope that this bug gets resolved some time in the near future.

Is that the Shalidor's Writings quest? Because I have a problem with that quest, which is also one of Urag's quests. Hopefully Bethesda looks into these issues.

No, it's not Shalidor's Writings. You ask him about any work at the College that needs to be done and he'll send you to a specific place to find a book he needs, the book and location being random. However, I stumbled upon the book he wanted before I even got to the College of Winterhold. Now it seems he just doesn't even notice I have the book he's asked for in my possession.

My first character had lots of books before he asks for them, I got them else where and he was not interested, I am to go fetch another copy. The second character who decided she was taking book collecting more seriously picked one up from one of Urag's sources before receiving the quest, it is marked as a quest item but she is unable to hand the book in, recollect it, fail the quest or get a quest for another book. Looks like we will have to wait for Bethesda to fix the problem.

*sigh*Figured. Thanks anyways. I guess it's time to play the waiting game and hope our Orcish wizard friend at the College finally decides to accept pre-found books.
