Constantly getting unrealistically many updates

Post » Mon Jun 25, 2012 6:18 am

For the past 2-3 days, I get a small update for Skyrim on STEAM. whenever I close the game. Is it because I haven't been playing for a few months or what? I mean seriously I've gotten like 30 updates or so now, quick ones.

Is there a log you can check to see just what updates you are getting? Sounds to me more like some update is failing, so Steam keeps trying to do the update.

Where would I find such a log?

I dont have steam myself but are you using steamworkshop for mods? If so does that have an option to auto update mods?

Steam wont let you start the game if there is an update for the game itself until its done as far as I am aware. Never actually heard of it updating after playing a game, always before playing.

I did recently download 2 mods through Steam Workshop. But these update thingies were happening before that aswell. Steam does indeed let me start the game without holding me up telling me there is some update waiting. As for updates for the mods I don't believe that is the case since there has just been so many ''updates'' or whatever the hell it is, after I downloaded them.

Oh wait a mo............... are you using the "cloud" option with Steam? Wouldn't that account for the updating after quitting as its syncing with the cloud?
