Steam replaced my saved games to an older version.

At one point, Steam asked me if I want to sync something and I accidently pressed something unwantedly. Now, I can't load my latest games even though my saved games are still in (username / my documents / my games / saves.

In this folder I have 8 saved files ...

- 4 files that are saved yesterday on the 23rd of June 2012, which are 3 autosaves BAK files and 1 quicksave BAK file.

and

- 4 files which are dated on the 16 of June 2012, which are 3 autosaves ESS files and 1 quicksave ESS file.

So, everytime I'm running Skyrim now, it's showing me to load only the last 4 files which are created on the 16th of June which are the ESS files.

And I want to load my latest saved games which should be the files on the 23rd of June which are the BAK files??

Why don't I have access to those saved games now? And can someone tell me how I can fix this? I've tried un-installing both STEAM and SKYRIM and after I re-installed them it still didn't recognize my latest saved games?? Does it have to do with cloud or something? Thanks in advanced.

I have to wait until it asks me? Isn't there a way to do it now?

I fixed it, all I did is change the BAK file to ESS. Click on the file, properties, rename the file by taking away .BAK and leave it as .ESS and the game will recognize the file as a saved game and you can load and play. :-)
