What really makes me mad is when I forget to Fus Ro Dah in a difficult encounter forgetting all about me even having the power to shout and sometimes I die knowing I could have been avoided.

Does this happen to other people as well?

Yes. In fact this week is actually the first time since Skyrim's release i have actually been using my shouts Lets just say they can be a real game changer not to mention pretty funny at times.

I've only done the main quest on one character so most of my characters don't even have shouts. But I've done that with racial powers. I keep forgetting I have them.

Bethesda must be thinking what the heck these two forum old timers aint using their shouts?? What the hey?

I did this for a while, until I really focused on them for one character. Now I'm constantly waiting for the cool down so that I can use them again!

I do this with the racial abilities though. I don't think my mage has used Dragonskin at all!

Although, for some reason, whenever I go on a bridge where enemies can easily fall into the water, or near a cliff, it's the only time I ever remember to Fus Ro Dah, maybe because it's fun, or maybe because it's insta-kill

the only time i ever remember to use shouts is when the effect would be something sheogorath would be proud of (usually fus ro dahing a set dinning table) or when i need to execute a follower in a special way (lydia has gottenthis treatment on many charatcers, she usually flies off of the throat of the world)
