Anyone else think that new mounts would be a cool addition?

I mean i've seen mods for the pc version. Maybe they could add spider mounts, or bear mounts to the game that would be cool.

I agree with Shadowmere, but in all honesty, if I had a dragon, Shadowmere would be sold for glue.

Yeah I tried killing a bear on horseback the other day with my sword. Felt like pure crap, back to not bothering with horses again.

I'll ride me a Horker, though. :)

I can only think of the long, long list of complaints and glitches new mounts would cause. It took ages for Beth to get mounted combat in the game for instance.

So ya, I don't really fantasize about this. :D

Having something like a bear or sabercat or even a giant spider as a mount for high-level characters only seems like a good idear.

But no dragons, please. Having the single most powerful creature in the game be a mount is just too much. There needs to be something too powerful for the player to subdue. Kill, yes, but not ride.

I'd just like it if you could replace your horse if it gets killed. I lost one, tried to buy a replacement. They took my 1,000 septims, but there was no horse, of course. Fortunately, I had the good sense to reload an old save, but still.

It would be cool if this game used the deed system that Red Dead Redemption uses

Ridable dragons.

We've been asking for it from the start.

Not everybody. Not that many, I think. It's too high-powered, for one thing; anybody that subdues a dragon and makes it into a mount is pretty much a god, and the game really doesn't work at that level. Then there's the fact of cities being separate cells...

We will, no shadow of a doubt, need spears to reach for that mammoth jousting.

Honestly I'm still in love with the http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_76jVt7UUOFc/TRuLrWwnLVI/AAAAAAAABEo/NbMiYl36lak/s1600/Roughs02.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_76jVt7UUOFc/S9Uk4y2U7wI/AAAAAAAAA-Q/90F6EUK3QNU/s1600/Dark+Elf+color+sketch04low.jpg http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/017/2/4/going_back_to_skyrim_by_shagan_fury-d37e904.jpg which was suspected to be pre-skyrim concept art for the mounts in the game.
I know I'll never see it in official DLC- because that'd breach some copyright law of an artist, so I instead hope for a modder to make them.

But to be in more in line of the thread's thoughts: yes, I would like new mounts. Just please.. no more flaming, magical horses from WoW.
A ragged bear mount from Hircine's hunting grounds (which do exist) would be a more preferable option here, to fit the landscape better.

Shadowmere's is alright. It's Arvak that really nerves me up. Anyone that sees you riding around skyrim with that..
Well, should really take their pitchforks and torches out for some good ol' mob hunting, like they did in morthal.
