I got a few 'new' ideas...

Well, first thing's first. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Colt, Bognir's my username, but Colt's my real name. Some of y'all have already 'met' me, but anyhow... I live near a little bitty town called Waddy, in Kentucky. We have a population of about 2,500 folks. I live on a farm, mostly raising angus and dairy cattle. I love to work on cars and trucks and, I ride bulls for money. I'm an ammeture but I'm okay with that, maybe I'll get better. I like to hunt and fish and on my down time... play Skyrim.
I reckon a lot of y'all probably have questions for me so... shoot, I guess.
Now, while y'all ask your burning questions, here's my ideas.
1) I was just laying around, being lazy, earlier today and I got to thinking... You know how people say 'Money don't buy happiness.'? Well, I'd like to challenge that. Since I ain't exactly a multi-millionaire, I'm just going to use Skyrim as a tool to figure out if this is true. I'll create a character who has all the neccessities for being a wealthy merchant, but all of his other skills will be crappy. I'm really just doing this too see how long I can play a filthy rich charater until I decide to put an arrow through my brain and a dagger through my heart. What do y'all think? Waste of time or no? Should i post the reults and keep y'all updated?
2) I'm also trying to come up with an assassin/wizard like character. I'd like to be able to use my charm to fool NPCs into liking me so I can kill/rob them blind. I don't want to use any 'physical' weapons just 'character made' stuff like a bound bow, and yes, I'd like to be good with a bow. I don't wanna use any armor cos it's too heavy and loud. I'd also like to be able to turn invisible, create potions and enchant my regular old civilian clothing into great assassiny like stuff. Any tips? Pointers? Ideas? or Recommendations?
Thanks y'all

1.) If you can actually make it an interesting play through I would love to have you keep us updated.
2.) Try to join the college as soon as you can.

Hey Colt!

Very interesting ideas, definitely. However, I do see a slight flaw in your first scenario.

The problem is that being rich in reality is extremely different than being rich in Skyrim. While in reality you could buy a nice juicy steak that you can actually stick your teeth into and savor the flavor, in Skyrim you can't really do that. I guess you could buy some mead and pretend to drink it, but it's just not the same. You could buy some interesting weapons and apparel, but without the skills to match I think that you will quickly grow bored. But by all means, go ahead and try it.

I do really like your second scenario, though. You could be the master manipulator, bending people's trust to satisfy your will and appetite for loot. Very cool. And I think that you will have a lot more fun being a wealthy wizard than a wealthy, incompetent bum.

And of course keep us updated on either of these ideas if you decide to execute.

I don't mean buying 24oz smoked angus steak. I mean, can I but the best gear and survive. Not just survive, thrive. Can I win in battles even though my skills svck. I mean, I do own the best weapons.
But, anyways. I think i'm gonna try the manipulative, wizardly, assassin first mainly cos I think I'd enjoy it more.
I'll keep y'all posted.
