Got a perk you regret...?

Post » Thu Jun 28, 2012 9:49 am

After finally achieving level 100 with my Archery skill, I was thrilled to select the chance to paralyze my enemies. Drool could be seen seeping from the corners of my mouth as I anticipated saving so many arrows by being able to hack at my paralyzed opponents as they lie there, helpless, due to my incredible skill with a bow.

What? I can't inflict a single point of damage whilst they be paralyzed?

Bad Form, Bethesda...BAD FORM INDEED.

taking the one handed sword specific perk. I found out after some research that the extra damage is pathetic. It bases crit damage on the weapon's default damage before any skills, effects, or enhancements are taken into effect.

Also the perks for armor piercing for blunt weapons svck as only npc's wear armor, and even then it is usually crappy, they are not very skilled in it, and it isn't smithing enhanced. So it is rather negligble.

One mod for PC that helps relieve some of the regret is one that lets you spend dragon souls for perks, with the cost of the perk in dragon souls being 1 soul for every 10 levels you need to qualify for it. So a perk needing level 60 costs 6 souls.

I've been picking off the lockpicking tree just until I get to the unbreakable lockpick, so I can get rid of this Skeleton Key. :)

Speaking of the lockpicking tree, the extra treasure perk is pretty good. But apart from that, yeah, it's garbage :P

Atronach Perk. Its a very good perk, just not with Conjuration Magic, with the bug that currently hasn't been fixed.

Mine was the stupid smithing tree that looks like a circle. Being a light armor wearer the choice seemed simple.

Logic would dictate you could get Daedric after you get dragon bone because its A CIRCLE. But nope. So I also chose the heavy armor side so I could min/Max weapons (not knowing that a glass weapon can be close to daedric after legendary).

Now the second slap in the face comes now that DG is released and there are Dragonbone weapons...
