Skyrim is a 10 foot bubble...

Beth, any chance you can fix the appalling draw distance in this game? Like the title says, i feel like things only exist in a 10 foot bubble around me as anything beyond that, with the exception of some creatures/npcs, which still have issues at distance which i will get to, does not get rendered.

The details of the world, trees, bushes, flowers, textures etc, suddenly pop into existence right in front of my eyes and totally ruins any hope of immersion in the game.

I'll be walking through the wilderness with extremely detailed landscapes at my feet and completely bare hills a few feet in front of me, which will sprout textures and foliage with each step toward them i take. It ruins the whole feel of the game/world.

Also, somewhat related, the effective range of things like arrows needs to be drastically increased. They have a very short range.
Trying to sneak up on a bandit camp and sneakily pepper them with arrows almost always fails from distance because the arrows just sail through the target like they are not there. However, although the arrows go through them with no damage, they still hear it hit and go in to alert mode.

Hunting for animal skins for crafting has some of the fun taken away because of this as well. Get any where near a deer and it bolts. Sometimes you can sneak up on them and hit them with an arrow but you have to be fairly close or, again, it will go through them.

An animal you definitely don't want to hunt from up close is a mammoth, as it and its giant bodyguards will kick your ass, but unless i am close to them, firing arrows only serves to alert them to my presence as, you guessed it, they go right through with no sneak attack damage or damage of any kind. It is frustrating!

I am well aware there are a multitude of other issues, some with a higher priority than these complaints, but this needs to be addressed also.

The world of skyrim is what this game is all about. When issues like these happen, ruining the feel of that world and some of the fun of exploring it, a huge part of the experience is gone.

So i would ask that the issues i mentioned are looked at along with the rest.

A better draw distance would be really lag-tastic.

The draw distance has only gotten worse with nearly each patch.

It has been verified by PC gamers that arrow effective range has been reduced dramatically.

So, from what I observe: they know all about the draw distance and are only going to further reduce it in order to make room for you to buy more content from them in the future.
