TU 1.5 Freezes my XBOX 360

Post » Thu Jun 28, 2012 1:30 pm

Okay so I stopped playing Skyrim for a few months I had no freezing issues with it before. I play Skyrim on Sunday, download the new title update, screw around, do a few quests for about thirty minuets. Then. I can't move, can't do anything. Restart, same thing happens. Do it a third time, sam thing happens. So, I keep trying for a few days and within thirty minuets of me playing my XBOX freezes. So, I clear cache and I delete and re-download the TU, I also install the game to my hard drive and it still does it. Do you guys know why, can you guys help me fix it? The disc is spotless so I don't see an issue being there.
Thanks, Vigilance95

TU?... ah a re-read leads me to title update. That's an odd way to put it.

It happens both installed and uninstalled? That IS odd... re-downloading the patch didn't fix it either huh...

I'm at a loss. Is something significant happening when it freezes? Are you in combat?

I helped someone once whose problem was the controller was freezing the game when it vibrated. Try turning off the vibration.

No it's not vibration, it is however, usually load something, but just right now it froze after I was getting in the Nightmother's coffin to escape from the fire in the Sanctuary. I'll fire it up again and see when and where I freeze.

Update: I have gone into the coffin and have frozen.

Well, I've heard about coffin freezes at least. Load freezes are caused by autosaves. Turn those off, and it should be fine. You just need to take care of saving yourself. Your load screens will be a lot faster too.

Check UESP for the fix to the coffin freeze. That should solve all the problems (or at least most).

You may need to play around with installed v uninstalled. I've heard that both ways are better, so it might vary by particular system.

I think it was freezing before I installed it, let me check, I'll turn auto-saves off.

Edit: I have a lot of game saves too, could that be a problem? I've done it before and I didn't freeze then.

Un-installed Skyrim, turned auto-save features off. I was able to get past the coffin bug, kept doing the quest, walked into the pub in Whiterun and randomly freezes after I walk around.
