Creating my own soundtrack and replacing the old one, how wo

Post » Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:26 am

Well not really creating my own but borrowing tracks from other games and whatnot that I like and feel would suit the game, not a big fan of Soule's work so I decided I want to replace his work with something else, how would I go about doing this? Is it as simple as simply dragging and dropping into the music folder and changing the names of the files?

Also if anyone else is using their own soundtrack feel free to recommend some music or packages that have already been released.

Not as simple as it was in the older games. You can use http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13286]Personalized Music[/url] but you'll also need to do the work of converting all the music you want t.xwm, naming them and dropping them in the appropriate folders.

So how do I convert music files to .xwm? Also where is the folder that contains the music files for the game?

The music folders are compressed like the rest of the data this time. The paths will be added when you install the mod. I don't know where to get a converter as I haven't used the latest version. In the previous versions it used wavs.

Ah ok thanks, do you know if it is possible with that mod to keep some of the original music while getting rid of others? Far as I see it is either all or nothing.
