[HELP] Help me examine an esp file

Post » Fri Jun 29, 2012 7:16 am

I have an issue with an about 24 hours old esp file, where the game crashes when I kill NPCs added by my mod, and it crashes when I go near NPCs existing in the vanilla game. I THINK these things started occurring after I created a quest (following the quest tutorial from the CK wiki) but I am NOT sure.

The esp only contains 3 small cells and a select few npcs. Only one of them has a dialogue (two short topics)

If anyone with reasonable experience of troubleshooting and understanding of different sorts of edits made to esp files, would like to receive a download link to my file and see if they can figure out why this is happening, it would be very much appreciated. I've had this issue before with other esp files, and I have no idea whatsoever why this happens. So my only hope is that someone else with more experience in advanced modding would like to lend me a helping hand.

I don't think it will take much time, seeing as the esp file is so small and so "young"

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help

EDIT: It's not related to the quest or dialogue. I reloaded a backup from last night, which is prior to my creation of the quest, and I got the same issue. So just to clarify what is happening, when I approach or kill NPCs, the game crashes. I can approach NPCs from my mod who are "peaceful", though ones already in combat tends to crash the game. And it definitely crashes when I kill an NPC.

Just so you don't feel forgotten about, I did read this topic, I just wouldn't know where to start problem-solving for this kind of mod. :\ Good luck.
