Post » Sat Jun 30, 2012 1:43 am

If I was to install vibrancy enb with project parallax Would I see a major hit?

Im using an older pc while my newer one is being upgraded by a friend. This current one has a gtx 260 graphics card.

That's not cool. Lol :(.

Like the look of it, I'll have to wait until other pc arrives.

If its only a few fps then I don't mind if it's a very noticeable hit then I'll wit

With ENB, it's a huge FPS hit (at least for me). If you don't mind a few FPS, then you should try out http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/131 (It looks nothing like in the screenshots, sadly... try it out).

A shasow said, using just the ENB will result in a quite a performance hit.

But it really depends. With the latest ENB 0.113, three setting are the maine cause of performance loss. DoF, SSAO, and detailed shadows. However, some ENB setup using these settings will give you only a few fps loss, while other ENB setup will result in 30+ fps loss. It really depends on the tweaking done to the ENB setup, as well as your computers overall setup. For example, someone with a GTX 560 Ti may experience a greater fps loss with ENB than someone with a GTX 460.

When it comes to parallax, its the same. It may only cost you 1fps loss, or even less, but may also cause up to 5 or 6 fps loss, and thats on top of the other fps loss.

You can try out some performance ENB setups, and manually disable SSAO, DoF and shadows if its too much. The added benefit is still pretty sweet. ENB is also easy to uninstall so you can always get rid of it.

The parallax doesn't really hurt your fps much at all. As far as our ENB if you disable DOF and SSAO using the High Performance version you should only have a very minor fps drop. If you need any help tweaking it for more performance just let me know and I will be happy to help.

Edit: Now that I think about it I have one already set up I made for a friend that I can send you if you want to try it. Just shoot me a pm with your email address and I will send it to you if you want.
