Daedra themed expansion pack

Post » Sun Jul 01, 2012 5:27 pm

I know I cannot be the only one who misses all the interesting Daedras that were present in the past Elder Scrolls games. Scamps, clannfears, hunger, winged twilight, daedroth, ogrim, xivilai, golden saints, dark seducers. I felt I bit let down when I discovered what little variety of Daedra and daedric artifacts were in Skyrim. Only 16 Daedric artifacts in the base game? Come on, that was a tremendous let down.

Would you like to see an expansion for Skyrim that brings back a lot of these daedra, more quests involving Daedra, more elaborate shrines, more Daedric artifacts that you may remember fondly from the past Elder Scrolls games, and realms of Oblivion like the Shivering Isles?

Sorry for me that would be a no, it was already done in Oblivion. I would like to see the expansion to the Civil War and then if you fight for the Ulfric and win. Then you could help rebuild parts of skyrim and then when you get to a point it triggers the imperials trying to send more forces back into skyrim where you have to fight them off. Yet you only have a short while to fight them off do to the Thalmor is landing troops near the Northwatch Keep and they are massing there troops for a push towards Solitude and Dragon Bridge.

I want to explore Sanguine's many realms. He is the prince of revelry, so of course the DLC will be fun. :D

I mostly just want to see a DLC that doesn't involve some sort conflict, just fun stuff to do.

I would like to see more varities of Daedra. So far... all we have are the standard Atronarchs and... Dremora.

All other TES games have more than just those, so why is Skyrim the odd man out?

Oooh, that would probably be the focus of a Daedra-themed DLC, lol...

The next DLC is called Heathfire. Hearthfire is the name of a month. It's also the name of a book. That book increases Conjuration. If the name of the DLC is at all related...

I do really want to see how some of the deadra would look in skyrim. The shinier engine we have now could make for some awesome models.

I use a dremora summon, but otherwise I don't miss daedra, no. Closed enough Oblivion gates to have my fill.

I've really been wanting an expansion that focuses on the conflict between the Aldmeri Dominion and the Cyrodiilians. For me, the conclusion of the civil war quests was unsatisfactory; one faction wins, but things continue as they were. The whole dichotomy between the Imperials lying low and regrouping and the Stormcloaks' hunger for rebellion was interesting for me. It forced me to consider both sides of an issue, and the necessary context, which is rare in games these days. That kind of decision making is awesome in an RPG, and I wish the results were more tangible. If you chose Stormcloaks, let the expansion be the return to battle with the surprised Thalmor. IT will be a hard fight without popular support from the empire, and Cyrodiil will be razed by battle. If you played an imperial, it will be a quest to infiltrate the Thalmor defenses and spread propaganda and spies to muster hatred for the racist elves. Either way, seeing results to your actions and being able to experience a fuller game because of it would be sweet.

I don't want a DLC about the war between the Thalmor and the Empire. It's too big to leave to a mere dlc. Something like that should be carried on in the next game.

I would gladly wait eight years (or over the course of two more games) for them to conclude the Thalmor issue, if they play it out well enough.

I think I said this in another topic but what if the last TES game was all the main good guys from the series vs the main bad guys. In the final battle you could combine with the main good guys and aedra into one all powerfull avatar, and the main bad buys and daedra would do the same and you would fight it out.
