Skyrim Mysterious Figures

Post » Wed Jul 04, 2012 1:20 pm

Hey I was wondering about the mysterious people in Skyrim and the other titles. All I could think of was the strange person who gives you all of the word wall locations.

Who is he and can you think of any other people who you are unsure about?

The letters i think (and are most convinced) are from The Greybeards..

I wonder who M'aiq the Liar is and why he is buggering me and why an arrow in the throat wont cure me from him.. *Grunts*

I also wonder who that wierd headless horseman is riding around..

Even more mysterious about him... or her...how did he know that I was shouting in a tomb not visited for ages?

Some stuff is best left mysterious. It's more fun to guess who is behind strange notes and headless ghosts.

Alot of factions keep tabs on the Dragonborn and follow his/her movements (Thalmor, DB, Greybeards, bounty hunters etc).

I believe someone in the Thalmor wants me to find the dragon walls, perhaps a certain traitor or mole in the organization secretly roots for me.

How in the world can you not like M'aiq?

And why would the Greybeards hide their identity if they are the one who sends you the letters?

Think the headless horseman is an easter egg

You can just ask the GBs for word locations, why would they be all sneaky about it

I thought the Headless Horseman was Ragnar the Red, but then saw a bunch of posts a while ago from people who said he definitely was not Ragnar. Now it's driving me crazy..who the heck is that ghost!?

The Headless Horseman is a visual and metaphorical representation of man's search for meaning in an incomprehensible universe. ;)

Really? I always thought that Ragnar the Red made the most sense. I've seen him riding to or from Rorikstead too.

The notes are coming from yourself-You have multiple personalities and of course, don't know it, but the other personalities always know about you, being the host; So, while you're off adventuring and whatnot, they remember and when you sleep or are unconscious through some other means, they can take over and go to other places and then tell you to go there since only you as the "proper" Dragonborn can absorb the power from the word walls. Far fetched as AAAAAALLLLLL hell, but hey, it's somethin'!

Headless horseman? Why, I've never heard of such a thing... Stay of that skooma if ya' know what's good for you!

the most aceppted theory is that he is Ragnar the red, just see all the facts and this conclusion is obvious, the ONLY thing i've found that could make he not be ragnar the red, is that in the CK his hair/beard is not red, but in my opinion this means nothing compared to the facts IN game :3

I still wish I could comprehend who he actually is though..

Yeah, same here! I have seen him on other roads though, but figured he was making an effort to put more distance between himself and Whiterun.

The notes are clearly coming from Akatosh himself. He's behind the whole thing. He may also be M'aiq, or M'aiq is an avatar. The headless horseman is Martin Septim, searching for his lost Empire.

THINK people, think.

EDIT: And by the way, stop letting stray cats bugger you. It's unseemly.

In a similar thread.... my thoughts still stand from that. It's one of two beings....

Parthunaax or the chicken in Riverwood...

Paarthunax - He's the only logical candidate.

Delphine? Too power hungry. She'd want them all for herself just to kill off the scaled reptiles.
Esbern? Hasn't come out of his cave for thirty years.
M'aiq? As stated.. no.. he's a liar.
Dinky the Friendly Draugr? As comical as it sounds... no.
Elenwen? That's just wrong in so many ways.
Argeir and the Greybeards? Nope.. as stated. They're the meditative type. They sit and wait for the knowledge to come to them.
Talos? Nope.. dead.
Kynareth? Maaaayyyybe... but too wrapped up in her tree

Come to think of it... I do know another possible candidate.

That [censored] chicken in Riverwood. THAT'S why the villagers are so angry when you kill it!
