Dragons are useless

Post » Tue Jul 03, 2012 10:53 pm

Both of the dragon summon shouts are useless, and even though I'm playing on master, both of the dragons get [censored] by one or 2 falmer and I'm more scared of a mudcrab than a dragon. Thoughts?

I think you are wrong and that Odahviing and Durnehviir are awesome sauce. Durnehviir is more of an auxiliary dragon while Oda burns people to a crisp.

Dragon breath takes away half my health, and a mudcrab hit, which hits 10x faster (mudcrab also moves 10x faster) takes away half my health too

shouts themselves are underpowered in master.

It's safe to say that this game wasn't playtested or balanced properly at all.

Definitely agree on Odahving. He takes too long to show up and spends too much time flapping around. Too bad I can't take his soul.

What level are you right now?

The dragons start very weak at low level. Then they get stronger as you level up.

If you get dragon summon in early level, you will be calling a rather weak dragon.

Mudcrabs are also ninjas. Don't forget that.

I saw a mudcrab the other day. Horrible creatures. I try to avoid them when I can.

They should be much more powerful then they are. You should have to run from one if your not with 5-7 other npc's until level 25-30. But they are a bit weak becaue of dragon souls. The devs want you to be able to collect them to unlock shouts. If you couldn't unlock them until your in your 30's people would be on here complaining about that.

Dude, people are complaining about them anyways. Or complaining about mudcrabs looking better. Or complaining about everything. Like I have said before, it's humanity's hobby to complain.

Dragons aren't the stupid ones. We are. Here we go, running up to them wearing nothing with asbestos (not outlawed in Skyrim, thankfully) in it and we're hoping they'll what... barbeque our rabbit?

Though, I do admit I'm disappointed their leveling couldn't stay 10 above our own. I mean, it's pretty pathetic these things can be taken down with a stick stuck with feathers in a few shots.

Maybe we should ask Square Enix how they made their level scaling in Final Fantasy 8. I like that game, but still. The level scaling in that game is a piece of work... Think Oblivion was worse? Try having to know staying at level one four four disks is smart!

What do you mean both? There is another Dragon summon?

Surely, you are not disclosing DLC information in the General Discussion forum?

Dragons are powerful if they have help. I remember I was fighting a dragon...when a man ran up and starting screaming about vampires, and...well...frost breath.

What about the PS3 and PC members that are viewing this forum and are unaware of this extra summons?

I saw a mudcrab the other day. Horrible creatures. I try to avoid them when I can.

Dragons also apparently consider them a major threat. I've had several random encounters where a hostile dragon shows up and then proceeds to exterminate every mudcrab in the area before getting back to me.

Y'all definitely need some mods. Deadly Dragons for one. I can barely take out a dragon on my own using that mod, it's pretty awesome. But then, I also haven't [censored] the game using crafting and don't wear the highest ranked armor, just the stuff that looks cool. My weapons aren't enchanted either. Keeps it interesting.
