I'd like to buy a computer for skyrim as it does have more for e.g Mods but i honestly don't know what to get, i was thinking along the lines of an alienware pc but i don't know any help fellow gamers?

Hint: DONT BUY FRIGGING ALIENWARE.

First you want a nice cpu. I recommend intel i5 2500k because it has oomph and isn't silly expensive. I personally use phenom ii x4 but it is just enough for my needs.

Second skyrim doesn't use a lot of video card ram (how I know this?: I got ridiculous resolution, fxaa and 2k textures and maybe 2fps drop compared to vanilla) so want to focuse of videocards with horsepower and not vram (ie 560gtx ti is nice, I have 6990 hence my silly resolution)

Third. How large is your TV's/monitor's resolution? What mods you want to try? What is your budget (I'm assuming you are super rich as you were considering alienware)?

99.99% of the time its going to be 1920x1080 or under, as that is the resoultion of a 24" monitor or any reasonablly priced HD TVs. Adn the GTX560Ti can put out enough power to handle that resolution just fine.

Thanks for the help, i basically want what you've got, a good pc aha. im not exactly well educated on pc's hence the fact i am a console user (have been most of my life) however my friends are trying to convert me to pc. i want to try graphic enhancing mods and a few others. lol i wish i was super rich but i would have to save up for an alienware pc for quite a wile, but i'd like to spend around 700 to 1000k but i'm not sure what i'll need.
