my game all of a sudden keeps crashing to desktop, random

so it seems my save file is broken, its very hard to test because i can play for about 10 minutes before it crashes, no wanring just desktop, some places are worse than others, but it seems to be getting worse, i think it might be corrupted by mods that ive removed, this was when i had know idea that they leave crap in youre save when there gone, it kills me thinking of loosing this save as i spent so much time on it, but i think what annoys me the most is not knowing exactly what the cause is, ive removed every mod apart from the armed to the teeth esm file only otherwise my game will not load at all, still the same, i tested a much earlier save and it seemed ok but i didnt test it too long, i just really dont wanna have to go back, is there any way to clean the save, i read oblvion had wynebash that fixed saves or something, is there one for skyrim, also i wonder if my save is now doomed to ctd, so if i go way back to another save it could just happen again, i think id then give up

Remove/Disable all the mods you have and then start putting them back on one by one. Then you will see which one crashes your game. If that doesn't help, try to re-install the game.

It's all well and good telling you now, but I'm guessing you installed these mods manually?

You should use Nexus Mod Manager. You can enable/disable (basically install/uninstall) at the click of a mouse. Saves so much time figuring out mod related issues.

Food for thought.

Lol mate I learned the hard way with Oblivion. 100+ mods, all manually installed. Never again. NMM is so much simpler.

You'll find the cause. The mod isn't necessarily bad, it may just conflict with another mod.
