You'll get it not too far into the Thieves Guild questline. The best looking armor in the game in my opinion. Worth getting.

It is obtained in the quest http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Trinity_Restored, near the end of the Thieves Guild questline.

I think it looks great, too. Though the helmet can be kind of creepy because of the "tiny glowing eyes" effect it makes.

Well worth it. My thief is still wearing it, 15 levels later. (Well, a mix of that and DB gear, but the armor is Nightingale).

Do the theves guild questline, you will get it towards the end
