Why don't they add an option to cancel a random side quest.
Skyrim Dawnguard Rings of Blood Magic - Cant Retrieve Second Ring?

So, you are supposed to retrieve the Ring of The Beast from Geirmund's Hall however when I go there all I find is an arrow pointing at the ground at the end of the dungeon. I have already cleared the dungeon and I am assuming that you are supposed to kill Geirmund for the ring but since he is dead I am kind of stuck.

Why not an option to go back to the quest giver and cancel the current quest and get another random quest at a location that does work.

I agree, they should have a feature to cancel quests as sometimes quests you may not want to do right away and change your mind or it gets messed up due to a glitch. I have a few quests that i cannot finish cus of glitches and people i need to talk to are missing or etc.

I agree, even although it's not really on topic but the frost quest bugged out and gave me OCD for weeks.

Its my understanding that due to the way the game uses scipted events for pretty much everything that a cancel button would royaly frak the game up.

I actually agree with this. I have some serious OCD and it is a constant annoying reminder thanks to a damnable rumour about removing my Vampirism. I AM HAPPY BEING A TES MARKUS CORVINUS THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

*sigh* sorry for the outburst. If the quest giver for that cure quest was not essential, believe me he would not be alive today nor that quest sitting in my quest log like some unwelcome guest that invited themselves to a get-together and refuses to leave even after the host has made it abundantly clear they are not welcome...
