Just looking at this forum makes me depressed with people complaining and people giving up hope. I admit, i lost faith in bethesda as well, untill i realized how stupid it was. But we have to stop with this "nobody cares about us, Skyrim's broken, bethesda is greedy money-makers" thing. Think about it. Would a entire company just totally stop improving the game on one console, while helping the other platforms? Because we don't have info on DLC and a patch? HAVE PATIENCE PEOPLE! You want info? Use your head!
Microsoft probably got a month of exclusive DLC experience, because the game WAS MADE ORIGINALLY FOR XBOX! We should be greatful that we get it while its already tested! And about the 1.6 patch? It probably GOING TO BE BIGGER THAN THE OTHER CONSOLES TO FIX OUR BUGS! The patch will be bigger and better to HELP AND FIX THE GAME! Mad about how the game has problems? Its a bethesda game, and one of their biggest ones yet!
Now do you guys understand? The creators of skyrim HAVE NOT ABANDONED US! Have faith, and go do something else in your life than COMPLAIN.
Oh Bethesda wouldn't leave the PS3 with an unsupported game? Oblivion didn't receive a single patch, not one. Shivering Isles was announced as a DLC but only actually released in North America, other territories would have to rebuy Oblivion as GOTY for full retail price, effectively doubling the price paid by their American cousins for a single expansion as the other smaller DLCs were never made available at all. Or how about Fallout 3, nine months of stonewalling regarding DLC and the only patches received fixed a handful of minor bugs (one of which is actually still present) and added trophy support, when the DLC was finally announced for PS3 it arrived two months after the promised release date without apology or explanation and still included all of the same bugs and issues that were reported on their original release.
The 360 has the DLC first because Microsoft offered Bethesda money to make it so and Bethesda accepted that deal, it has nothing to do with Skyrim being made for the 360 first and then lazily ported to PC and PS3 because they could do the same for the DLC as well. I don't think PS3 users should be grateful for being sold out and stonewalled yet again based on the delusion that 360 owners are somehow "testing the DLC for us" because when those DLCs finally become available to everyone else they're going to have all the same bugs and problems as the 360 guys are having now, the Fallout 3 DLCs weren't fixed prior to release and there was a nine month gap but you expect Bethesda to go out of their way and fix this one in a month or however long it is kept from us?
As for the 1.6 patch, sorry but that's not going to include any special PS3 fixes either. 1.4 contain several special PS3 fixes but everyone got that at the same time, why is 1.6 different? If what you believe is true then why not release 1.6 for everyone at the same time and then put the PS3 specific fixes in a 1.65 hotfix when they're ready, it would make logical sense and also give PS3 users the mounted combat and nirnroot fix that Bethesda announced to much fanfare
five weeks ago. Yes, it has been five weeks since 1.6 was announced but we're still waiting on even the first bit of info of it coming here.
I'm sorry, but based on Bethesda's history and the way that history has repeated itself with Skyrim, I see no reason for PS3 users to place any faith in Bethesda at this point, not only would such faith be misplaced but it would be totally undeserved.
