getting re-married

why haven't any patches been released to fix it so that people can get divorced and re-married after or even get remarried after a spouse has died a huge up roar was made over not being able to marry lydia or what ever the follwers name is but nothing i have seen has been done about getting remarried

A patch fixes something that's broken. Divorce and remarriage are not part of how marriage works in Skyrim, and the absence of those options is not a bug or glitch that needs to be fixed. That's the way it was intended to be. The fact that some players don't like it doesn't mean it's a broken feature.

Now not being able to marry an NPC who should be one of the options for it is another matter. As far as Lydia is concerned, that glitch was supposed to have been fixed in the 1.5 patch.

While I don't see the need for a divorce/marriage/alimony/etc patch. I don't see this statement as being accurate. The most recent patch added the ability to do mounted combat. While I'm sure a lot of the patch was fixing bugs and such, adding the ability to use your weapon while on your horse was not.
