Hot to get Chillrend at Level 1 without joining the TG or ch

Post » Sun Jul 08, 2012 10:09 am

Here's how i got Chillrend on my permanent Level 1 character without having to join the Thieves Guild.
No cheating, no console ...

1. Go to the front of the temple next door and jump on the fire pedestal to the left.

2. From there jump onto the left ledge of the temple entrance roof and work your way up to the top beam.

3. Walk towards the Riftweald Manor gate.

4. Turn to the *right* and walk back on the side of the roof, then turn around and look at Riftweald Manor. You should be straight in line with the gate and the side of the roof on the manor.

5. Jump over the gate and onto the edge of the manor roof. Now work your way up to the top of Riftweald Manor. This can be tricky and seems to work best on the far backside where the roof has two angles joining together. Also not that the middle section does not have a collision box and you can walk right through showing some clipping errors.

6. Once on top, there is a flat section you can walk on. Go to the back and jump down onto the balcony.

7. Pick the lock on the door and enter Riftweald Manor. Go inside and dispatch the bandits.

8. Find the Suspicious Cabinet and go through it into the basemant. Work your way through all the traps until you get to the final room with Chillrend in the display case. Don't forget all the other good loot, there's a bowl of gems and a bust of the Gray Fox.

Why on earth would you get the weapon at level ONE. It doesn't cap out until level 46.

Level has nothing to do with getting chillrend so why include it in the topic at all.

Why not?

Someone may think they need to be above level 1 to get there. There's plenty of other content in the game that can't be accessed at level 1.
A simple note to inform people that this is indeed possible at level one and without joining the TG or cheating.

I guess INFORMATION is not something you are interested in?

Nothing in the method has a level requirement, by saying level one someone might assume they can't do it past level one. I guess misinformation is something you don't think about. You should simply say "how to get chillrend at any time or any level without joining the TG or cheating"

And some people might not know its a leveled item and if they get it at level one i quickly becomes decoration.

What? What's the point to having a character locked at level one?

How could someone
think they need to be above level 1 to get there
if you excluded mentioning level all together.

Read the thread, and, well... It doesn't really seem like roleplaying. What possible reason could your character have to never improve him/herself? I can understand some things, like never fast traveling, or eating, drinking, and sleeping at night, but not sticking yourself at level one.

I mean, can you really call it roleplaying when you effectively need to cheat, and have your character go to extreme lengths to search out an item that he/she could never know existed? In fact, how does it really make any sense at all? If your character is a Warrior/Thief/Mage, how can they adventure throughout Skyrim, using their skills to get past obstacles, and yet never get any better at anything?
