Console Freezes in Water

Post » Sun Jul 08, 2012 8:39 pm

So, basically everytime my character walks in water the entire console freezes. The screen freezes adn I can't move, sound is still playing, but I can't access the PS Menu or anything. This is probably the strangest thing that's happened to me. The first time ti occured I was East of Whiterun ata a place called Valtheim Towers. I'm not sure if that spot is specific to starting the glitch btu I just thought I'd mention that.

Anyone experience this before? Anyone have any suggestions for how to make it go away?

I sincerely hope that 1.6 contains a fix for this bug that Bethesda introduced in 1.5 or when Dawnguard releases and a bunch of people come back to Skyrim for the first time in months we're going to see a lot more of these threads popping up from people who haven't read the sticky.

Ah thank you, I didn't notice the stickied thread.

Yep, I didn't see the sticky, so sue me.

If a Mod see's this, they can close the thread.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound as inflammatory as it did. The sticky could be more visible than it is given the severity of the issue and the fact that nobody really expects a patch intended to fix the game to utterly destroy it until the player jumps through a couple of hoops.

Ideally Bethesda would have tested the patch before release so that this bug didn't even exist, or at least admit to the mistake, pull the patch and release a reworked version that didn't include the bug rather than rely a sticky that most people don't notice because they don't know to look for it.
